Having done quite well for themselves, the U.S. Women's gymnastics team proudly posed with their gold medals at Westfield Stratford City in London, England today (August 8).
All clad in their American Flag-themed leotards, the "fierce five" of Jordyn Wieber, Kyla Ross, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman and Gabrielle Douglas looked to be quite the excited as they roamed the grounds at the adidas Olympic Media Lounge.
Meanwhile, for those of us not fortunate enough to be in London for the Games, Miss Wieber is taking us along for the ride by blogging her experience for People.
With all the excitement after the team competition, the 17-year-old admitted she hasn't been able to sleep while instead having been busy collecting accolades and meeting people of prominence, of which she wrote, "We've been Tweeting with tons of fans, we met the Duchess of Cambridge, talked to President Obama on the phone, and I even Tweeted with Justin Bieber!"
Along with Olympic gold, there are other perks to being a winning athlete. The young gymnast revealed, "Our 'fierce five' Corn Flakes box will be on shelves this fall, and I hope that young girls across the country will see our faces in the breakfast aisle and it will inspire them to get a great start every day."
